Item1: Barrette |
Item2: Zoo |
"A friend of mine is getting married. She asked me to make a barrette for her
hair using Mizuhiki." says Mr. Grimley. |
"As I experimented with the knots and forms in the Mizuhiki Art Book (*introduced in our online website), I glued each piece onto the mat board as I completed it. That explains the confusion and chaos of the work" Says Mr. Grimley. Of course some knots were to be improved. However, among our workmen, it is impressive. This pretty piece of work is unconventional and has lots of imagination. |
Item3: Crane |
Item4:Turtle |
"A nice collection of mistakes and show how NOT to tie Mizuhiki" says Mr. Grimley. A cording technique is concerned; it is very simple and basic. But the design is sophisticated. This is a good example to prove that originality is very important for such a work. |

Item5: Crane |
Item6: Turtle |
"My collection of mistakes (*see above works) were items in which I identified what I considered a mistake and then noted to correct the mistake the next time I tied that item." Says Mr. Grimley. See how improved he is! Surely he learnt something form his first trials. See the differences between Cranes and Turtles. |
